Frequently asked questions

What is ExamEdge NSW?

ExamEdge NSW provides mock HSC examinations for Year 12 students designed to replicate authentic exam conditions. Students sit exam-style papers and receive professionally marked responses with detailed written feedback to help improve exam technique and performance.

Who are the mock exams designed for?

Our mock exams are designed for Year 12 students preparing for the HSC, particularly those studying Studies of Religion I and Studies of Religion II. The sessions are ideal for students who want to practise under exam conditions and better understand how exam responses are assessed.

How are the mock exams different from studying at home?

While studying at home helps students learn the content, mock exams allow students to apply their knowledge under timed exam conditions. This experience helps students practise managing time, structuring responses, and responding to exam-style questions. Students also receive professional feedback, which is something independent study cannot provide.

Who marks the exam papers?

All papers are professionally marked by experienced teachers who are familiar with HSC assessment expectations. Students receive written feedback explaining how marks were awarded and how responses can be improved.

How do students register for a mock exam?

Students or parents can register or submit an enquiry through the website. Once registration and payment are completed, confirmation details will be sent with information about the exam session.

What happens on the day of the exam?

Students attend the session and complete the exam under authentic exam conditions, including working within the correct time limits. The exam environment is designed to mirror the structure and expectations of a real HSC exam.

When will students receive their results?

After the exam is completed, papers are marked and students receive their marked script and detailed written feedback. The timeframe for returning results will be communicated when students register.

Can students sit more than one mock exam?

Yes. Students can choose to sit multiple mock exams if they would like additional practice or preparation before the HSC.

Do you offer one-on-one feedback sessions?

Where available, students may book a one-on-one session with the marker to review their exam paper in detail and receive personalised advice on how to improve their responses.

What is the cancellation policy

If you need to cancel your booking, at least 48 hours’ notice is required. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled exam session cannot be refunded due to venue and preparation commitments.
